Terms and Conditions

 

 

All clients will be deemed to have accepted Springfield Dog Walker’s terms and conditions (as laid out here) on signature of this form.

 

Dogs are walked on the basis that all answers given to the client questionnaire are true and accurate.

 

Springfield Dog Walker must be alerted to any behavioural problems with the clients’ pets at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future bookings.

 

All dogs being walked must be fully vaccinated and on a regular flea and worm control regime.

 

All dogs are now required by law to be microchipped and for the information to be up to date.  It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure this is correct.

 

All dogs are now required by law to wear a collar with a tag with up to date information.  Failure to provide this will result in the dog not being walked.

 

Clients must ensure access is available to where animal/s are kept at the times/dates agreed. Charges will still apply if access to the client’s property cannot be gained or if the dog refuses to walk/leave the house.

 

Dogs will only be walked off the lead with a signed agreement from the owner.

 

Bitches in season will not be accepted for group walking.

 

Dogs from different households may be walked and transported together as appropriate, at the discretion of Springfield Dog Walker.

 

Pick up’s for lunchtime dog walks are usually made between the hours of 10am - 2pm. Specific times cannot be guaranteed for lunchtime walks.  Walks for other times of the day are only available by prior arrangement.

 

Springfield Dog Walker reserve the right cut short a walk if necessary, for the safety of both the dogs and the walker. This can be for any reason, including but not limited to, extreme weather conditions (i.e., heat, thunderstorms, snow, ice, etc.), behavioural issues, unsafe conditions etc.

 

The client must provide Springfield Dog Walker with the name and contact number of someone capable of making a decision relating to the pet(s) in an emergency. If the contact is not available Springfield Dog Walker reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interests of the animal.

 

The client is responsible for any veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst pets are in the care of Springfield Dog Walker.  The client is responsible for any veterinary bills incurred for any animal that has been injured by the actions of their animal.

 

Springfield Dog Walker will care for your animal as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your absence, Springfield Dog Walker cannot be held liable for any loss, theft, injury or death to a pet either inside or outside of the home whilst in our care.  Nor can we be held liable for injury or death to another pet, animal or human, caused either directly or indirectly by your pet, whilst your pet is in our care.

 

Springfield Dog Walker accepts no responsibility for security of the premises or loss if other individuals have access to the home during the term of this agreement.

 

Where permission is given to photograph your pet/s, we reserve the right to publish them on the Springfield Dog Walker website and our various social media pages.

 

Springfield Dog Walker reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time & with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to the walker and/or other dogs.

 

Cancellations - please allow at least 48 hours notice so that we can try to fit somebody else in your spot. If less than 48 hours notice is given, then the full fee is still payable.  For permanent cessation of services, a minimum of one week’s notice is required.

 

Although Springfield Dog Walker holds Public Liability insurance, wherever possible pets should be insured by the client. Springfield Dog Walker reserves the right to refuse a booking for any animal which is not insured.

 

Springfield Dog Walker reserves the right to change or amend any Terms or Conditions at any time – last updated 1st July 2021.
